Dark mode control panel

Turning on dark mode in the control panel appears to have the effect of making icon backgrounds lighter. Turning it off makes them darker. Other than this, there's very little to tell them apart until you come out of the panel entirely.

Well, you have dark mode on, the whole panel is dark and the icon backgrounds are light.

How does it look if you turn dark mode off?

Mine did this at first but its corrected itself

I haven't experienced this problem on my device 🤔.

Have you tried resetting your phone?

If that doesn't help, please report the issue via the Samsung Members app attaching log files.

I think it's because the background of the panel has some transparency to it. If you have an app behind that changes with the dark mode setting (for example this Member app), the dark mode toggle is very visible.

Nothing to do with it mine is the same doesn't turn light at all
