Since the recent update my S24 + is very inconsistent on weather it will charge 

please fix .

I have an s24 Plus, dont seem to have this issue but will keep a watch out. Does this happen on a different charger?

Thanks for reporting! Please also send an error report through Samsung Members app so that the developers can take a look at what may be the cause
