I have a weird problem with this monitor, it seems as though the image won't centre in the middle and keeps either going all the way to the right or all the way to the left, and sometimes centres.
have tried this with both a MacBook and a windows laptop as external display and issues on both, I also get some eye strain when using the monitor and want to make sure I haven't received a defunct monitor.
in the first picture it is showing the gap that I am talking about on the right side
and the second picture below shows that there is no gap on the left hand side, it feels as though the image keeps moving around now and then to re-align

@AsimYusaf: This may be caused by the aspect ratio or screen size options of your connected devices, so you may wish to check your settings to see if there are any available options that might resolve the issue. On the monitor, hit the Function button then head to Screen Size and select Auto (to display the picture based on the aspect ratio of your connected PC) or Wide (to display in full screen regardless of the aspect ratio of your PC). For further information, please take a look at page 22 of the user manual.

Hi,
thanks for your reply
so should I be setting it to PC Mode or AV mode? I had it on wide before and I have now set it to Auto but it still did it when connected to my work laptop.
is this a common issue? never had it happen on any previous monitors and have only noticed it on this one.

@AsimYusaf: What method are you using to connect your work laptop, as this might help to determine whether you're better off using 'PC' or 'AV' mode. If you have selected Auto in the Screen Size settings, then please check the aspect ratio settings on the laptop itself, and set this to 16:9 if possible, as this should help to fit the screen to the display.

I normally use Displayport (monitor) to usb C (to the laptop device) but its DP 1.4 compatible (can get the full 360hz),
I don't really have an option to select 16.9 etc, just the resolution which I have set to 2560x1440p scaled at 100%
it doesn't just stay in 1 place though image keeps moving left and right so sometimes the gap is on the left.

Hang on, is this caused by the pixel shift function?
'
To reduce the possibility of screen burn-in or image retention, Samsung OLED monitors come with the Pixel Shift function. This function automatically refreshes and moves the pixels on your screen to prevent screen issues.
When Pixel Shift is used, the edges of the image may move outside of the screen borders and may not be visible. This is not a device defect. You can turn off Pixel Shift to keep the screen at the home position.
To prevent burn-in when viewing content with a lot of static images, it is recommended to turn on Pixel Shift.'

I am having the same issue with 2 monitors, there is no way to disable Pixel Shift from the menu or force a resolution on the monitor itself. This is very annoying there is a user that recommended something here https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/computers-it/g60sd-monitor-black-screens-when-switching-to-fulls... but honestly I am not sure how Samsung is not taking care of this.

@AsimYusaf I opened a ticket for each of my monitors because there is no way for me to turn off the Pixel Shift feature from the menu, I hope they fix this asap.

I have same issue when my monitor starts to shift i use ability to use adaptive sync on 4090 and HDR RTX AI and latency impact increases by 100 % i t was from 5msec to 7msec now from 10msec to 14 msec... I told to the samsung they do not answer me. Monitor is just overheating, when i was running climate control on 22c monitor stop to shift. Monitor did shift in sdr mode or hdr mode no matter what, it means your monitor or my is not full screen anymore.. Because nvidia app says to use HDR RTX ai you need to run in full screen mode.. and it is .. With g7 i had 0 issue. I asked reviewers of monitor rest 360hz monitors from samsung panels no problem to use adaptive sync and HDR RTX AI.. I returned monitor they want to fix it but if its not fixable they need to return me money.. and i use samsung monitors since 2004.... ITs a shame that monitor is overheating in sdr mode to... Why it overheats? Because when climate control is off it is summer room is warmer.. When climate control is on 22c monitor stops to shift... Wierd monitor technology. Imagine using samsung for 20 years and i to get this. And yes they do not answer me. When pixel shifting starts to do i can not enable gsync on 4090 gpu.. With g7 i can. adaptive sync and hdr rtx ai works.

i own this monitor too, i think this is pixel shifting but the option to turn it off is not available, although having it actually is a great thing since it helps alot to prevent burn in
