I've had a SSD 970 EVO 1TB set up as my Windows 10 C: drive for the last few years. While very satisfied with its performance, it frequently stops all activity (0% disk activity). The recent pattern is 7 times in the last 19 days and ends with my having to hard-reset the PC.
I've never been able to work out what was causing the problem. I've just gone into Windows Advanced Power Options and set the "Turn Hard Disk Off" option to 0.
I'll edit this post if it happens again, but this problem has been the only blight on a superb disk.
