Samsung SSD T5 500GB and File Shredders

Hi, I have installed and boot my iMac Late 2015 OSX running Catalina 10.15.5 onto a Samsung SSD T5 500GB. I am considering installing a File Shredding App onto the system but would like to know it will not damage the SSD.

I have heard in the past to not mix file / folder shredding software and SSD's.
