Samsung printer driver issue on Windows 11

Hello everyone,

I’m having an issue with my Samsung printer driver on my Windows 11. The printer was working fine earlier, but now it’s not responding when I try to print anything. I tried reinstalling the driver, but the installation either fails or doesn’t help.

Sometimes the printer shows up in the device list, but it says "driver unavailable" or just doesn't print. I also tried using Samsung Easy Printer Manager, but it doesn’t detect the printer properly.

I’m not sure if it's a compatibility issue or something else. Has anyone else faced this kind of problem?

Go to Device Manager, find the printer and any other scanners, right-click, and delete the drivers. Restart the PC. Go back to Device Manager, click the "Scan for hardware changes" button; it should install generic drivers. The printer should work; if not, search the Samsung website for your printer and reinstall the drivers.

Samsung printers are HP these days.. Samsung sold their printer division to HP a few years back.. So HP has the drivers..

Hi i have the same problem and i completely disappointed. I bought new laptop with windows 11 and do all the necessary steps that you described - reinstall/install new drivers from HP - unistall from device manager etc and no progress. This is outrageous. HP does not care at all. They want you only to buy a brand new printer. Screenshot 2025-09-13 232128.png
