Samsung Odyssey G7 has usb-b port what for ? 🤷‍♂️

Hello

I have Samsung Odyssey G7 32'' and I have connected cable usb-b (printer connector on monitor?) to usb-c but it does nothing ? only shows that display connection might be limited, when I connect smartphone it doesn't charge. So what is usb-b 3.0 or is it 3.1 or 3.2 ? What is is for ?  The USB-A both charging phones..

U didn't get my point what I was asking .. I know what ports are .. But don't understand why they put usb-b into monitor as it does nothing .. I have purchased usb-b to usb-c cable and it doesn't even charge phone only saying your connection is limited when connected to laptop

No u didn't and not sure why when it was simple 🤷‍♂️ why putting some ancient usb-b into monitor instead they should've put usb-c with display port support

I would think it's used as an upstream port when you use the monitor as a hub, which is a feature of the monitor.

Guess it's only to link laptop or pc with usb-a link so when I insert an USB flash drive to monitor usb-a it should read perhaps ..well that's useless
