Computers & ITOn the subject of fitting a Samsung Evo plus 970 M.2 ssd in a Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 I am a little bit concerned about heat generation.
At the moment I have 4 x M.2 type ssd's in external aluminium enclosures and they do heat up when working.
My question for the Samsung Technical Department is - Will a Evo plus M.2 500GB ssd be OK fitted in the spare empty slot n the Galaxy book pro 360, which is 11.5mm thick ? Please can you advise.
Also, although I do not expect power consumption and battery drain to be a problem. Do you think I will see a difference in battery life.
Kind Regards Bob UK

Computers & ITI decided against fitting an additional Samsung 970 Evo M.2 1 TB ssd in my Galaxy Book Pro because it appears these devices can run at 52 degrees. In a casing that is 11.5mm thick, where will the heat go ? Nobody at Samsung has responded so I assume it could be a problem. I know the Samsung 970 and 980's have throttling but its the rest of the laptop components I'm worried about.
So for extra storage I'm buying a Samsung T7 3.2 Gen 2 1 TB external ssd.
