Hello,

I bought a Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB. I aslo installed Samsung Data Migration tool. My Samsung 980 Pro is not listed in target SSD. Could you help me t solve this issue ?

My Samsung 980 Pro is connected to the computer via Icy Box IB-183M2. This box is plugged-in a USB 3 port.

Here are the details of the box : https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product/icy-box-ib-183m2-m2-2230-m2-2242-m2-2260-m2-2280-external-cases...

I have the following configuration :

OS : Windows 10 (up-to-date)

Motherboard : HP 8643 ==> https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c06429270

Current SSD NVME : SK hynix BC501 HFM512GDJTNG-8310A

Why my Samsung SSD is not recognised and not listed in Data Migration Tool ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately, it's not working.

After deeper investigation, I found out something that could be the issue.

Under Icy Box IB-183M2 spec, SSD protocol is AHCI (SATA). I bought this adapter and you have the link to the item in my first message.

I found out another item, Icy Box IB-1817Ma-C31. Here SSD protocol is NVMe. Here is the detail :  https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product/icy-box-ib-1817ma-c31-m2-2230-m2-2242-m2-2260-m2-2280-external-...

I think that's the issue.
