I have a Samsung 970 Evo Plus (bought in Dec 2019 and still under warranty) as my C drive and it appears to be having Random Read/Write issues, according to Samsung Magician and Crystal DiskMark (only tested with them)
I have put 3 screenshots below, Samsung Magician and 2 Crystal DiskMark MB/s and IOPS with the SSD profile enabled under the settings tab
In the Samsung Magician
This is the best result
Sequential Read (MB/s): 3312
Sequential Write (MB/S): 2742
Random Read (IOPS): 279541 - 41% slower then 480,000 IOPS as in the specs
Random Write (IOPS): 280761 - 48% slower then 550,000 IOPS as in the specs

I just got a new EVO Plus 2tb from a BF deal and my sequential read and writes are fine, but my IOPS are 358,000/286000. I bought it for the high IOPS and my 1tb XPG SX8200 pro is faster. I'm probably going to return it, because it's not what I expected at all @ about 50% slower IOPS than advertised. I also put a heatsink on it after I stopped my first test run after the controller started hitting 90c. It's topping out at 61c with the ram at 51c now with a 70f ambient temperature. I would rather pay more for a good gen4 drive and get closer to 1,000,000 IOPS than a slower driver than I already own. I'll probably get a SN850 or XPG Blade after this disappointing experience with Samsung, that is apparently a common occurrence with the EVO Plus.
