Hi
I have a Samsung Viewfinity S9 monitor for testing and I am trying to connect it to a PC, I have a problem because the monitor is not seen by the system.
I tried to hook it up via USC-C to Thunderbolt from my laptop but the laptop does not see the monitor.
My MAc AIR sees the monitor connected via USC-C to Thunderbolt with the same cable as my laptop (Win11) without any problem.
Similar is the case with the PC (Win11) which I am trying to connect via Displeyport to mniDisleyport.
My MAc AIR sees the monitor connected via USC-C to Thunderbolt with the same cable as the laptop (Win11) without any problem.
How do I force support for this screen from PC and laptop?

I have the very same problem. I unpacked the monitor and am deeply frustrated, the "smart" os features are just making trouble shooting endless more complicated. I connected my PC via DP -> MiniDP with the S9 and nothing happens, PC does not see monitor and on the "smart" monitor there is nothing indicating that it is conected. So went through registering a Samsung account and all the * checkboxes and that did not help either. It would be helpful if Samsung would reply here. I am set up returning the S9.
The smart OS looks like a 800*600px screen, so no lucky feelings of a great 5K display came up after buying one, not even a demo screen showing crispy text. Samsung software makers and designers are not as good as I expected.

For 1 hour I tried to connect this monitor with a lenovo notebook in the lab of my seller. We finally managed to "see" the "PC" connected in the connections, but the "Smart" OS would always switch back to the homescreen and the notebook did not see the display at all. So there are serious connection issues, MiniDisplayPort never worked and the "Smart" OS features make it very very hard to diagnose those connection issues. I give it a last try when my new PC arrives, where I can use the provided USB-C cable and will then decide wether to return it or not. But as of today I think a normal monitor with a power switch (S9 does not have such) and that does nothing else then being a monitor and has stable connections, is preferable.

@Rodt0331 I received your message by email and wanted to reply that I managed connecting the device with another cable (DP to MicroDP). I tried a few cables from my employer.
Samsung if you read this: It took me 5 minutes to login to this forum and go through all of the contracts and ridiculous privacy and advertising checkboxes (5 or 7) that are dependant on each other so you never know what you are allowed to uncheck. This is ridiculous and drives my extremely away from the Samsung brand. Until the last days and today I had a better impression of Samsung.

The problem is, that while trying cables you always face the problem that the TV operating system from this device makes any test incredibly harder than if it was a plain monitor.
The image quality of the display is really good. I recommend making the product available in a monitor only version, without the *** "smart"monitor = television OS.
