Macbook SSD 970 Evo Firmware update problem

Hi, so i upgraded the SSD in my Macbook to a 970 EVO 1TB and had kernel panic issues in sleep-mode. I saw that there is a firmware update which should solve the problem but the installation doesn't work for me.

On my bootable USB-Stick I get the Option to boot "Windows" but the screen turns black and nothing happens. Out of curiosity i downloaded the 970 Evo Plus software and everything worked perfectly except the detection of the SSD of course.

Using UNetbootin I didn't even get an option to boot from the USB-Stick.

Is there a known problem i might have run into?

Thanks

Didn’t find a solution there and figured I tried here since it’s a problem with the firmware provided by Samsung

the software to update the device exists on windows and you need to buy an nvme to usb 3 adapter and plug the device into a windows pc, format it and the update the firmware
