Not sure if anyone else had had a similar issue... I've been trying to cast both my phone (s21 ultra) and my laptop (hp spectre x360) to the Samsung m7 smart monitor with no luck It used to work fine when I first bought the monitor a few years back, but now when I either use smart mirror on my phone, or display detector on my laptop; the option for my monitor doesn't show up - despite being on the same WiFi network.

I've tried removing all devices from my monitor, I've tried hard restarting my monitor, I've tried updating drivers on my laptop, I've tried mobile hotspot on all devices, nothing seems to work. The only brief solution that worked was factory resetting the monitor and I was able to see the monitor as a display option on both smart mirror and windows detection. But that seemed to stop working after a day or so. I can't just keep factory resetting just to cast, its not really feasible

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi
This may be helpful

To cast your Samsung device to your TV, you can use the SmartThings app, Screen Mirroring, or a cable:

SmartThings

Connect your device and TV to the same Wi-Fi network

Download the SmartThings app

Open the app and tap +

Tap Add device

Select your TV

Enter the PIN code on your TV

Tap More options (three vertical dots)

Tap Mirror Screen (Smart View)

Select Start now

Screen Mirroring

Open your phone's notifications panel

Tap Screen Mirroring

Select your TV

Enter the PIN

Cable

Connect a DeX cable or USB-C-HDMI cable to the corresponding adapter

Connect the other end of the cable to a port on your TV

Connect the HDMI adapter to the USB port on your device

Tap the mirroring switch notification on the Notification panel

If you're having trouble connecting, you can try:

Restarting your phone and TV

Checking the stability and speed of your Wi-Fi network

Reducing the distance between your device and your router

Limiting the number of devices connected to your network

I use Chromecast
That might be another option
To try
