I want to know how to get out of an important situation for me.
I am using a GalaxyBook SM-W720 model tablet pc. I live in Turkey and I bought my computer in the USA. Yes, I still use it and I am very satisfied. But last month I asked for a replacement to samsung service here about the battery problem. When I received the device, I saw that the ram capacity was halved. Now instead of 8 Gb, there was only 4 Gb of ram. I checked and realized that 2 slots were occupied but the capacity was 2x2 4gb.
When I asked them, they stated that they do bios update as a procedure, that the bios they have has this restriction since this model is sold as 4gb in our country, and that they do not have the bios for the models sold in the USA and that they cannot provide it. However, when I took the computer to a samsung service in the US, they told me that I could ask for bios update support.
Now where and how can I get the updated bios for this model, I have no chance to send my computer to the USA. I cannot explain the situation through live support on the site, they immediately redirect me to the regional service. I am not sure if I can make my voice heard here, but this is my last resort.
Can someone please help me with this? I really need it.
