Hello,
I just got a Book4 with an Intel Core7 150U, which supports VT-X Virtualization Technology, as stated in the Bios/UEFI configuration, which is Aptio setup utility and extremely basic all around.
Though, despite seeing the functionality as supported, I wasn't able to actually activate it and I cannot enable the corresponding feature in VirtualBox. I read several things about it and subsequentely:
- Checked the Windows functionalities Hyper-V and Virtual Platform, but they were both disabled already
- Disabled Core Isolation
None of that worked and I wasn't able to find any instruction to do so, nor a Bios/Firmware update which could hopefully enable the functionality, which lead to me enabling Hyper-V to try and create some VM via that instead, but I have several VirtualBox VMs already and they don't work so well without VT-x.
Is there any way to enable a feature which depends from the CPU and is there already? Despite it not being top of the line, it's not exactly an entry-level computer and I was able to use such a feature on cheaper ones, so I'm really surprised by something like this.
