I purchased this in Curry's PC World to boost my laptop speed.

It does not appear to be listed as supported by Samsung in the Magician Data Migration User Guide.  Before I to the additional expense of getting an installation kit and try migrating the software- would be obliged for any advice.

The following Samsung SSDs are supported*:

Samsung SSD 970 EVO(M.2)
Samsung SSD 960 PRO(M.2)
Samsung SSD 960 EVO(M.2)

Samsung SSD 860 PRO
Samsung SSD 860 EVO(2.5”, mSATA, M.2)
Samsung SSD 850 PRO
Samsung SSD 850
Samsung SSD 850 EVO(2.5”, mSATA, M.2)
Samsung SSD 840 PRO
Samsung SSD 840 EVO(2.5”, mSATA)
Samsung SSD 840 Series
Samsung SSD 830 Series
Samsung SSD 750 EVO
Samsung SSD 470 Series

Yeah hi. I noticed that too when I got mine today. This is not an issue however as I managed to use the data migration tool to clone my boot drive to my 250gb 860 evo. It worked perfectly fine, no problems.

Hope this helps.

Ps in the info in your post the drive is there, Samsung SSD 860 EVO(2.5”, mSATA, M.2) it's the 2.5" one ;~)

Thanks - must be going blind - I presume any SATA cable and memory card holder as long as the size matches will do such as Dynamode - doesn't seem to be possible to buy an installation kit from Samsung without buying another SSD card.

I connected the drive with an XPG ADATA SATA cable but when I run the Samsung Magician software I get the message that the drive is not supported, specifically that RAPID MODE is not supported.  Any advice appreciated.
