When it comes to your home entertainment setup, a Soundbar can really make all the difference. It places you right in the heart of the action when you’re watching a film or a series, providing amazing 3D sound experiences. And Samsung has some great Soundbars to complete your viewing experience.
One thing that might be standing between you and mind-blowing audio is the thought of connecting the Soundbar to your TV. With all the different connection options on offer, it can be a bit daunting. But that’s where this Samsung Hack comes in! Read on to find out how to connect your Soundbar to your TV via HDMI, optical cable, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi.
HDMI
Connecting your Soundbar using an HDMI cable will give you the best audio quality.
For an HDMI connection, you have two options:
Optical cable
Using an optical cable will give you reliable and consistent sound quality.
Bluetooth
With Bluetooth, you’ll get great audio quality with a wireless connection.
Wi-Fi
If you connect your Soundbar using a Wi-Fi connection, you’ll have a wider range than with Bluetooth. You’ll also be able to use multiple connections to your TV.
To be able to connect using Wi-Fi, you need to download the SmartThings app on your smartphone.
*If your wireless router uses a DFS channel, you won’t be able to set up a Wi-Fi connection between your TV and the Soundbar. Contact your Internet service provider for details

Once your Soundbar is connected, either via HDMI, optical cable, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi, you can change the sound output via Quick Settings.
