Every 22 April, a special event takes place all across the world: Earth Day. The aim of Earth Day is to show support for environmental protection and to get people and governments involved in protecting our planet. And with the earth’s climate in crisis, protecting, repairing, and appreciating the environment has never been more important.

A great way to start to appreciate our planet is to create a community of people to share experiences with, discuss ideas, and plan a better future. And what better place to begin than right here on the Samsung Community? We’ve come up with some ideas on how you can celebrate Earth Day with other Community users!

Get out into nature

One of the best things you can do to get a feel for Earth is to get out and experience nature. Whether it’s a walk in a local park or a serious hike in the mountains, there’s nothing quite like getting up close and personal with flora and fauna. If you’re looking for great new hiking routes or tips on how to make the most of your walks, why not check out our Health Club. 

In the Outdoor Adventures section, you can discuss all this and more with other Community users, as well as share pics of your latest adventures!

Start a Community group

The great thing about the Samsung Community is that it’s just that – a community! If you head over to the Samsung Lounge, you can start a new thread about anything at all! So why not start a thread to help the environment? This could be anything from organising litter-picking in your area, discussing sustainability tips for around the house, or helping other users upcycle or recycle old devices to give them a second life!

Plant some flowers

One thing that is amazing for the planet is thriving plant life. So this Earth Day, you can do your bit by planting some flowers, a tree, some vegetables, fruit… Anything that takes your fancy! Even if you don’t have a garden, with nothing more than a plant pot, some soil, some seeds, and some time, you can bring a plant to life!
