I wasn't able to figure out if it's for streaming or not.

Its to connect your TV ( if compatible ) to the soundbar without any wires instead of eARC or Optical. WiFi music streaming can only ne done via Spotify or Alexa ( but Alexa has all sorts of problems at the moment )
