Hi everyone,

I need some clarification, as to be honest the Samsung support staff are hopeless with knowing anything about their own products.

I was on chat with support enquiring about the eARC firmware update for this soundbar, he replies to me saying it doesn't have eARC?!

the whole reason I purchased it was because of this update, I have the LG C9 which is eARC!

if they don't provide this firmware update to allow it, then this soundbar is going back for a refund.

I got terrible lipsync issues also with the V6 on DD. Have to leave it on PCM for now. Hopefully the eARC update will sort it

Is there any proposed timeframe for the eARC updates for the QLED Q90R TVs? With the Q90R soundbar update we're so close yet so far away. Surely it can't be far behind since they know eARC is useless if your TV doesn't have it as well.

@mauromol, I double checked the firmware on my sound bar, rear speakers and subwoofer and it shows: ON > M 0126.0 > B 1010.5 > H 0051.0 > FD 0040.0 > W 0241.0 > S 0136.0 > RR 0136.0 > RL 0136.0

I assume that is the latest firmware and the rear speakers and subwoofer updated by themselves automatically overnight.

How do you check the firmware for the speakers themselves and subwoofer?

Actually, my Q-90R soundbar has some different readings.
It comes from 1007.9 firmware to the new 1010.50
In smartthings app, the update tab says 1010.5 128R
The soundbar display says after the update:
M-0128.0
B-1010.5
H-0051.0
FD-0040.0
W-0240.0
S-0136.0
RR-0136.0
RL-0136.0

In order to check the firmware do the following:

With the soundbar off (but plugged to the electricity), push and hold the sound control button on the remote (the one with the gearshape) for a few seconds. The led display will show "On" and the firmware version will scroll.

Hi @johnGR. I made a typo the correct reading on mine are:
M-0128.0
B-1010.5
H-0051.0
FD-0040.0
W-0241.0
S-0136.0
RR-0136.0
RL-0136.0

The only difference from mine and yours is W-0241.0
Rear speakers and Subwoofer are the same and it’s the same from the previous firmware. Apparently when the soundbar updates automatically it also updates the rear speakers and subwoofer so there is no need to do anything else. It seems like the current update didn’t change anything on the speakers and/or subwoofer.

Anyone still noticing a slight audio delay when watching content on the NetFlix app? I still notice some delay and it bugs me to no end.

Setup: LG C9 + HW-Q90R. eARC enabled on TV and displaying in the sound bar. TV HDMI audio output set to Passthrough. No improvement in audio delay when changing to Auto or PCM.

Hi  . But why do we have that difference in W?

Maybe it has to do with the previous firmware?

Your soundbar comes from 1008 firmware or 1007.9?

Am I the only one?  Even Netflix movie with Atmos from my LG C9 sounds better now with eARC turns on!
