Hi everyone,
I need some clarification, as to be honest the Samsung support staff are hopeless with knowing anything about their own products.
I was on chat with support enquiring about the eARC firmware update for this soundbar, he replies to me saying it doesn't have eARC?!
the whole reason I purchased it was because of this update, I have the LG C9 which is eARC!
if they don't provide this firmware update to allow it, then this soundbar is going back for a refund.

eARC now working on my q90r bar too, just wondering how to push the update to the speakers and sub? I've tried the method of holding the "down" button on the remote but nothing happens. Any ideas guys?

I can confirm that Q80R soundbar also received 1010.5 update with eARC support.

@Matty_uk: Which TV do you have? eARC is only active if the connected device also supports eARC. If you use a Samsung TV without eARC, you do not have eARC.

I have the Q90R TV and Q70R soundbar. The soundbar came free with the TV.
My Q90R TV's firmware is 1356 the latest version.
