Hi guys
I have a gq65qn94a tv and a q900a soundbar with 9500s rear speakers and I use them everyday for about an hour or two, or sometimes every other day for the same duration, so unused is about 22 hours or sometimes 46 hours.
I need a scientific answer of the difference between putting a tv and a soundbar on standby mode vs unplugging them completely. I don't mean energy-saving-wise, rather what prolong the lifespan of those devices.
Some websites say I should turn them off because the processors are always working in standby mode and they will degrade overtime. I can already feel the soundbar is warm in standby.
Other websites say that when unplugging then replugging them I put unnecessary strain on the transformers and I'll shorten their lifespans.
I called samsung and also got 2 unclear different answers.
Does anyone have a concrete answer?
Thanks in advance

Keep your soundbar as of your other electronic devices. It must not be worse than other brands in the perspective of the life cycle. Just stay in peace throwing that useless concern away!
