Soundbar

Bought a HW S50B soundbar n November despite trying various settings, or I am not doing it right, not happy with it voices seem deep and background noise grates at times. 

It is connected to a LG 49"TV by HDMIARC I previously had a cheap LG soundbar and thought I would upgrade this soundbar whilst I accept not top of the range was 4 times the price of the Lg one but very disappointed gone back to TV speakers.

I guess your talking about the pre set settings of the sound bar, have you tried to look into TV audio settings, from there you can adjust what you hear on your sound bar. You can play with both settings, pre set from sound bar and TV audio setting.

Only volume I'll try other setting see if it helps, thanks
