I have the Samsung hw-mm55c soundbar which up until now I have been plugging the optical cable into my soundbar and Xbox One and my Xbox One was connected to my cable box and the volume was amazing. Usually kept the volume around 20-30 for shows and movies and it was quite loud.
Recently, I got rid of my Xbox and I went ahead and plugged the optical directly from my LG uk6090 65 inch into my soundbar and now all of a sudden the volume got significantly lower. Now we have to bump the volume up to 40-50 and the quality is definitely worse. Been trying everything with sound settings but nothing has worked thus far.
I do not believe the sound bar is not the issue because if I connect my phone to it via Bluetooth it is very loud, the problem is only happening when I plug the optical (or HDMI ARC - I’ve tried both) from the TV to the soundbar.
Any ideas why this could be or if I’m doing something incorrectly here?
