Audio & VideoGood Morning!
I am currently having a really annoying issue with my MS650 soundbar. After connecting to WiFi using smartthings (finally) I came down yesterday to find the screen saying 'update'. It has not stopped since and is repeatedly cycling through off, on, says update for about 20 seconds then turns off and goes back round again.
After 24 hours I turned off the power for 30 mins and restored to find it doing the exact same thing again. Any ideas?!
Thanks,
Pete

Audio & VideoHey @Defender905 ,
Can I ask if you have try to tap the Update message to see what happens? What Software version is the soundbar currently running on?
To check the current firmware version on the soundbar, follow these steps:
1. Check to make sure the Soundbar is powered off.
2. Press and hold the Sound Control (On the right of the Sound Mode button) button on the Soundbar remote for more than 6 seconds.

Audio & VideoHi Tess,
To clarify the 'update' is on the soundbar display itself so not possible to tap on it. I have uploaded this video to help:https://youtu.be/piBBG5TcbJ4
Pressing the sound control button for 6 seconds when off doesn't seem to yield any result?
Thanks,
Pete

Audio & VideoHi all,
If you've got it connected via SmartThings, then check out this guide on 'How to update your Soundbar using the SmartThings app': https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/tv-audio-video/how-to-update-your-soundbar-using-the-smartthings-...
If the steps there aren't working for folks, then let us know with more details/info in this thread where it's going wrong for you.

Audio & VideoThanks Ant - have you seen the short video here https://youtu.be/piBBG5TcbJ4
The issue is there seems to be no-way to break this cycle.
Thanks,
Pete

Audio & Video@Defender905 , Cheers! Any joy by pressing the Play/Pause button on the remote
control for 5 seconds to get the soundbar to display an “INIT” message and then auto-power off?
(This might cause the settings to be reset BTW. Also, for good measure, might be an idea to double-check that there's nothing but the power plugged into the soundbar in case there's something there that's weirdly interfering with the update process.)
