Hw-s60t smartthings

I am having so much trouble trying to connect this soundbar to my smart things app which apparently will then connect to Alexa. 
when I run the smartthings  find device it sees but then fails to connect. 
is the soundbar not supported or am I doing something wrong as the instructions are not clear. It just says follow the instructions on smartthings

Hi Mike,

Alexa is completely broken on the HW-S60t Soundbar. Once set-up via Smartthings it will randomly trigger whilst you are watching movies, not understand commands well and also keep cutting out when streaming music on Wi-Fi. Lots of users here complaining about the Alexa implementation. I would return your HW-S60T and get a Sonos Beam instead, it has working Alexa and better sound than the HW-S60T.
