Hi, 

I'm having an odd problem. I want to leave the sound effect as Movie on the soundbar. When I change input on TV, the effect keeps resetting to  Standard and Surround off. I have the soundbar connected via HDMI to the ARC port on the TV itself. If anyone can help, that'd be great.

@RogersK: I'm not familiar with 'Movie' as a sound effect option on the soundbar. Did you mean 'Cinema' mode? You mentioned that this issue occurs when you change input on the TV. Can you confirm if you're switching HDMI sources and, if so, what external device do you have connected to the selected source?

Hi Andrew, you are correct. Its Cinema on the soundbar (Samsung HW-J550).

Yes it happens when I switch between inputs. Like when I power off Sky box, switch to Xbox and turn that, tiny pop from speaker then it says OFF-SURROUND on sounbar. When I go to check sound mode, it's reverted to Standard.

 Ive listed them below.

HDMI 1 - Sky Q box

HDMI 2 - Nintendo Switch

HDMI 3 - Soundbar (trying to use ARC cos cant get the sound synced when its wireless)

HDMI 4 - Xbox Series X

Gave up. went to wireless and i can change all day long and nothing changes on the soundbar
