HT-J4500 home cinema, cycling on and off repeatedly.

Although I've had it a good few years, never having a problem with it, my home cinema system is throwing a fit. It seemed to start when the blu ray/ dvd drawer wouldn't fully extend. I gently pulled it and inserted the disc and it seemed to work okay. The next day, when I switched it on, it now cycles through "LOAD", "No DISC" repeatedly, even when trying to use "D in", "AUX" or any other setting. I've disconected the drive from the rest of the unit, no difference. I've reset the unit whilst it was in stand by mode, nothing. It's not dirty inside, all very clean looking. Anyone know what's going on... Please help.

I've looked over the net all to no avail.

I'm in the US (Kansas) and mine started the same thing last night. And I have a DVD in there that I need to return. Won't eject!

Hi. Got a HT J 4550 and it started doing the same last Sunday (21/06). Also tried the hard reset with no luck.

Had watched a film on tv with sound through the aux on Saturday with no probs, then Sunday went to watch a bluray and the load-no disc cycle started.

I have two J4500 systems that are both experiencing the same issue (US). I was finally able to eject the DVD by using the remote after several attempts.

I just did an online chat.  Agent transferred to some specialist group.  Took the info, sent me a mailing label.  Free repair.  This is a j4500, 4 years out of warranty, built in 2015.  The front agent quickly identified this as a known problem, without all the unplugging, hold down this button bs, and transferred me to the 2nd agent.  This is in the US.

This problem with the Samsung Blu-Ray players, including mine, seems still to be happeneing on a daily basis, for instance, someone who is unaware of this problem decides to play a Blu-Ray and then their Blu-Ray goes into the continious loop senaro. Let's say you get your player fixed, what's to prevent it from crashing again, I guess you could not connect to internet forever!!! Why is this action on our players still persesting today? Why hasn't this problem been stopped in it's tracks so it can't infect any other players? Just Saying!

I already bought a new, region free 3D Sony player, and I'm also out of the 300 bucks I spent on my Sanyo, I bet I haven't even played 25 movies on it since I bought it. Oh, don't forget the 200+ bucks for the new one, that's a over 500 dollars invested to have a Blu-Ray player due to no no fault of my own. Just Saying! Just got tired of waiting.

I just recieved two shipping labels from Samsung US via chat and email. I have a Home Theater and a BluRay disc palyer that are broken. I need to box them and attach the labels but that is ok. Very promising. I'll try to to remember to let you know what happens.  Once I told them what was broken they offered a repair right a way. Have your model numbers and serial numbers ready. I had already started a document with all the bluray issue so it was very easy for me. It looks like Samsung has admitted they have an issue. Reboots every two seconds, they can not fix this remotely. My wife would ahve already replaced the BluRay player thinking it was just broken. I'm her tech support so everything comes to me. Good luck to everyone! Stay Safe!

Hello All.

I am American in the Netherlands who bought  BD-J5700/ZA while visiting in America. I contacted Samsaung thru Twitter with no reponse. My power loop started on June 19th. I am not full of money to just go get another player, but will say I will never buy another Samsung.

Samsung support messaging:

https://www.samsung.com/us/support/contact/

I'm an American in Seattle. I successfully received interaction and two online repair request documents for two devices via email.  Support tells me shipping labels will be emailed separately. I have not received those yet. Maybe if I hold my breath?

Same here.  Called them today, and they sent me a mailing label.  I tried everythi ng I could with them to let me somehow do the "factory reset" they said needs to be done, but they said it has to be done there.  We cannot.  (The thing I hate even more is that I have a DVD in it that won't come out - belongs to someone else!  They told me NOT to take the case off to try and get it out, and that they would return it.)  I'm betting they are SWAMPED with calls.
