Although I've had it a good few years, never having a problem with it, my home cinema system is throwing a fit. It seemed to start when the blu ray/ dvd drawer wouldn't fully extend. I gently pulled it and inserted the disc and it seemed to work okay. The next day, when I switched it on, it now cycles through "LOAD", "No DISC" repeatedly, even when trying to use "D in", "AUX" or any other setting. I've disconected the drive from the rest of the unit, no difference. I've reset the unit whilst it was in stand by mode, nothing. It's not dirty inside, all very clean looking. Anyone know what's going on... Please help.
I've looked over the net all to no avail.Solved! Go to Solution.

I have the same problem started yesterday but just a note here that makes it a little bit more than a coinsidence is that I have 2 of the same units in my home and now both of them are out with the same problem. HUM? sounds like some kind of kill to me to get consumers to replace older products. I sure hope that they have a fix for this because I dont have the cash right now to replace half of my entertainment systems in my home. This makes me so angry because I have all samsung tvs (4 of them) and samsung products in my home because I have always been a loyal customer to them. I have also had this exact same problem about 2 1/2 years ago with my first unit. wich I replaced and now again with 2 of them at same time.
I agree wholeheartedly! Not too long ago, if you didn't have a Sony TV, you didn't really have a TV. Nowadays, it's all about Samsung and LG. They've worked hard to earn their reps and it really would be a shame to see Samsung lose all of their credibility (and their company) because of a stupid ploy to get people to buy new BD players. It would be just as bad if they lost us as customers because they refused to make this right when clearly this is on their heads. These units are mostly (if not all) out of warranty and for Samsung to stonewall us at this point, referring to the length of the warranty would be horrible business and a fatuous mistake on their part. Besides, I REALLY am spoiled by surround sound and don't really trust anyone who says a soundbar is "just as good" as 5.1, 5.2, 7.1 or 7.2 surround. I would have upgraded to a 4k BD player months ago, if I could have just found one that also was integrated into a home theater system, but all I could find was individual players and salesmen who were more than happy to show me all of the nifty receiver/speaker "home theater" systems to buy WITH the BD player. I'm PERFECTLY happy with my my HT-J4500! Even though I couldn't get Disney+ on it!

It could very well be a malicious attack by the North Korean government aimed at Samsung due to it being Korean then… The plot thickens.
