Can't get HDR to work with my soundbar when passing through 120hz

So I currently have my Xbox Series X connected to my Samsung HW-Q950T soundbar which goes to my LG CX. Everything is working flawlessly. I get 4K 120hz passtrough together with Dolby Atmos. But HDR does not seem to work when using 120hz. As soon as I switch to 60hz, HDR starts working again.

Am I doing something wrong or does the soundbar simply not allow HDR together with 120hz?

Could it be that the HDMI cable that I got with the soundbar isn't fast enough? It does says High Speed HDMI with ethernet on the cable. Maybe a 48GB cable would solve this?

as far as I know the hw-q950t does not support full hdmi 2.1 features so it will not be able to passthrough 4K 120Hz HDR.
