Boom on S60A soundbar

A few months ago we bought an S60A soundbar to go with our Samsung TV. It's linked to the TV using bluetooth; the 2 HDMI connectors on the TV are used for the satellite receiver and the Blu-ray player.

Mostly we're happy with it, but whenever someone with a fairly deep voice (baritone or bass) is speaking/singing the sound comes over with a boom. For a woman or a tenor, the sound is OK. We've tried all the sound profiles: standard/adaptive sound/game/music - no perceptible difference. Similarly, the sound control button cycles through active voice amplifier off/treble/bass/centre level/side level with no perceptible effect on the "boom". Is there any way to reduce the level of the bass part of the spectrum, please?

I have exactly the same problem.  Reducing bass to minimum and treble to maximum helps slightly (but not sufficiently; and the changes appear to be lost when it's switched off). Overall I'm very unhappy with this device. Has anyone found a lasting cure?
