Best Dolby Atmos configuration ?

I have a Samsung Q70R with HW-Q70R. I'm trying to get the most out of the weird Dolby atmos functionality in the soundbar. Will I get proper dolby atmos output if I connect TV->Sounbar via Arc, and either Xbox one X/Apple TV 4K to Sounbar via HDMI ? 

Or can I connect the Xbox one X/Apple TV to the TV directly and it passes through the audio to the soundbar ?
