Audio cable connection

I have a Samsung Sound bar with a Micro USB input.  I would like to play Audio CDs through the sound bar and the CD player has an HDMI output.  Is there a HDMI to Micro USB cable that will do this???

you could use the hdmi from cd player to your TV and then use the sound bar to output the sound from the TV if that's an option

Thanks for the suggestion, but I want to use the sound bar without the TV.

What do I to do at the Samsung TV 

Setup? I've done the basic setup accordingly, all working well, except for the CD Player. Kindly advise if I am right, connecting the Optical cable from CD Player Out to Samsung Soundbar Optical In?

Do I need to set any functions at the Samsung TV under the Sound functions? Or any other set-up details? Will the CD audio route directly to the Samsung Soundbar?
