Not anymore there is a transfer watch or is it phone 🤔 in the Wearable App.

Yes, pairing my Watch 5 with my S24 Plus didn't need a reset.

Yes can now Transfer the watch to a New Phone, both Devices will receive a pin, certainly works for the Galaxy Watch 6 anyway without resetting. some information here https://www.androidauthority.com/how-to-connect-galaxy-watch-new-phone-
