Some apps will not work from a sd card. They need to be installed on your phone

Correct. Even if it was possible an sd card would make the game unplayable as they are too slow for games like that.

As has been indicated it is not advisable to transfer Apps to SD Card as there could well be issues. Some apps will not support it and the Sd card speed  may not be sufficient for some apps to run smoothly.
