Hi all,

Should you always have fast charging always on? Does it negatively impact your battery in the long run?

Thanks.

@Jammy97: For your peace of mind, there are no negative effects on the battery when using Fast Charging and Super Fast Charging, although I do always recommend using a genuine Samsung cable and plug adapter for compatibility purposes.

Agree with @AndrewL here. Have not had issues when charging long term with fast charge (45w charger).

My bit of advice is not to leave the device plugged in and charging once it reaches 100%.

As for recommending genuine Samsung Chargers and Cables, again agree but Samsung could do the world a favour and reduce the prices on these a bit.
£10 to £20 just for a cable is a bit steep hence why people buy them for a couple of quid on eBay and on occasion get a poor experience then blame the Samsung brand.
I am not employed by Samsung nor do I receive any remuneration as a Samsung Members Star.

My device is an S25 Ultra.

I thought you'd agree 👍 😉.

Thanks for the information. I just had the thought that fast/super fast charging in the long run...
Could it affect the device basically.

And... I have battery protection at 80% on. Before it used to be capped at 85%.
