Pokémon GO (Pokéball Plus) connecting problem

I was never able to get the game to connect to the ball. It would see it but not connect. Same ball works instantly on an iPhone. Anyone have any idea why/how to fix? Phone is an S21+ fully up to date. Ball connects with Bluetooth fine

I've done both, multiple times. Just annoying connected to the iPhone instantly. Curious if anyone else has had this problem on a Samsung?
