I want to wire in a USB charger into my car dashboard for use with my Note 8 instead of using the cigarette lighter thing. I am thinking of using this one, which I found on eBay:

The thing is, it says "Car DC 12V to 5V Step Down Converter. Max Current 3A 15W." The official Samsung charger says "Output 9v 1.67A or 5V 2.0A" Is this likely to be a problem?

I can’t personally answer the question but thought it worth mentioning to perhaps seek out a dedicated car forum to ask and or ask your car dealership.
Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.
The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Thanks for the suggestion. I am concerned about the 3.0 A vs 2.5 Amp thing, so I think it's more about the phone than it is about the car. I know the car can handle it; it's my phone I'm worried about...
