Google Chromecast keeps Disconnecting.

Hi

Maybe not samsung related but if anyone could help please.

Basically my chromecast disconnects after around 2 minutes if the phone sleeps. 

Same thing happens on my wife's samsung

So you have to keep the phone screen on to watch on TV.

Tried restarting and resetting chromecast.

Tried rebooting WiFi

Tried reinstalling google Home

Still no joy.

It has been working perfectly all this time.

Any help would be appreciated. 

Might try resetting WiFi as restart didn't help.

Might be worth looking in the preference settings or similar for the Chrome Cast and to also look in your Battery and Device Care , Battery, Background Usage Limits,  Never Sleep Apps and put it in there.

Which app is it doing this with? Is it one particular app or any you try streaming with? I've not encountered it with All4, YouTube or BBC iplayer

Always been youtube, never had issues all these years.. seems a bit strange.

I'll try it on my Tab A7 later maybe it's a recent YouTube app update? I've not known it do that before either. TV and attached electricals are unplugged at the moment as there's a storm overhead

Well, under apps I let youtube run in background and it seems to be not cutting off after two minutes now.

Yeah hopefully. Weird though my wife noticed it on her samsung first.
