Galaxy S20+ LED View Cover Stopped working

I bought the Galaxy S20+ LED View Cover for delivery with the phone on the release date. It has stopped working. i.e. there are no lights, shapes or clock times showing when the cover is closed, or when there are new notifications. Any ideas anyone?

If you try to get in touch with galaxie frends through the playstore you will notice that the message cannot be delivered for some reason: blocking messages or too full messaging

I can't even find the Smart Cover app in the playstore. This is ***** poor. Come on Samsung, Apple would never treat their customers like this.
