Bluetooth connection to car

Hi, I have a Samsung Galaxy S10 and when connecting my phone to my VW, it only connects for calls and contact information, the media toggle wont automatically move into the on position to allow me to listen to music in the car. Has anyone else had this issue and managed to rectify it?

I dont think any German car automatically turn on the music without clicking the media button

Goto SETTINGS / APPS / ANDROID AUTO (I'm assuming that's how you're trying to connect) / PERMISSIONS. Whatever is currently denied permission, change them to ALLOW PERMISSIONS. Note that if you are playing music via AA, only Mp3 and flac are playable - anything with a higher resolution will not play (eg, DSF, APE, etc).
