I'm going to the theatre in a couple of months, and I need a reliable mechanism to silence the watch and the phone. I don't want to turn them both off.
I set the watch to "do not disturb" but sound events such as things I have to do at certain times still sound, even when the sound is muted. I tried flight mode, and that seemed to silence it.
I haven't experimented with the phone yet, but I'm hoping that muting it will do the job.
How would you silence the devices?

On the phone you can pull down the top notification shade and press the sound toggle to put it onto vibrate or mute it.
On the watch you might be able to set similar preferences or look in your specific gear app and turn off Notifications for your apps.
Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.
The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
