I have my Galaxy S8 connected to my work account (activeysnc) to sync calendar only. All other sync features are disabled. This does require a passcode on my phone, which I use anyway, so this is not an issue. Where the issue comes in is with the Gear S3. It has the Samsung email installed by default and it cannot be removed. In the Gear settings my emai account is turned off. I still get a message frequently telling me to set up a PIN on the watch because my work account requires it. I want to this to stop. How can I make it stop? I want this email app off my watch.

I tried this fix and it didn't work. Watch continues to ask for a pin. Any other ways to disable my work security on my watch?

Open Samsung Wearable app... Tap the Home link... Scroll down and open the Apps tab... Find the email icon and open the settings gear icon... Toggle the switch next to the affected email acct to the off position...

I would say Gear S3 is the worst gadget I purchased within last 10 years. So many issues.

Is there a sequence of steps you followed (first disable the app, then reboot watch/phone)? I tried some combos and isn't letting me disable the lock screen or choose "payments only". TIA

this (pin lock requirement) is extremely inconvenient, making this watch useless. 😞

You don't have to remove your exchange server settings from your phone, only from your watch. Simply go to the Galaxy Wearable app on the home page, then scrole down to "Email", then turn off your exchange email acount. Now you can go back ot your watch and change your security settings.

No sir. Tried that several times. Does not work (unless, there's a specific sequence I need to follow, such as, "turn it off, reboot, or even reset the watch, etc.)
Thanks for replying though. If anything strikes you (like a specific sequence) please let me know.
