If this was my situation I'd....
Double check all relevant settings.
Toggle the notifications Off and then back On.
Unpair the watch to the phone then re pair.
Delete the pairing then set it back up.
Factory Reset the Watch.
If no joy then I'd pop into my local Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Location.
Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

Hi @McColm.
Agree with BandOfBrothers here. Also, unsure if this the case for you, but it's always worth doublechecking that notifications are enabled for the relevant apps in the Gear app itself.
