Hello wonder if you can help.

I have just purchased a Gear s3 and I have it paired and connected to my iPhone 6. The watch works perfect until I become out of Bluetooth range and thus my watch will lose connection, which is as expected. The problem comes when I’m back in Bluetooth range i.e. back with my phone the gear s3 will not automatically reconnect like other devices I have left it 30mins plus and it still won’t automatically reconnect. I have to manually keep turning Bluetooth on and off on both the watch and phone and then clicking on both the Bluetooth connections on my phone (Gear S3(DC10) & Gear S3(DC10) LE) to try and get it to reconnect eventually after going through this process multiple times it will finally connect again. Any help will be appreciated as I can’t keep doing this every time I’m away from my phone. Thanks In advance.

Is this question related to my post?

I was curious wether people have a similar experience, so I posted mine. For some reason it worked great for about 1 week, but unfortunately it did not last.

Im running Galaxy watch version 1.8.19021402 (iPhone 8), The watch is running: Tizen 4.0.0.2, Software: R760XXU2DSA1.

Are updates available, is it possible to upgrade the watch ourselves?

> For some reason it worked great for about 1 week, but unfortunately it did not last. Been there. Same specs, though software ver is R770XXU2DSA1. Whenever it gets disconnected from my phone (i.e. phone battery dies, watch battery dies, out of range for a longer while), it does not automatically reconnect. In every recent case, the reason was that the bluetooth on the watch got automatically turned off. I have no idea if this is sort of energy conservation feature, a bug in the software or both - but ever since I've sorted out the bluetooth power management on the phone (see my previous posts on this thread), all I had to do was to enable bluetooth on the watch and it was back in sync with my phone. I wish I had a 'enable BT' toggle on the slide-down quick settings pane, that would save some time troubleshooting the entire thing.

Hi.

Here's my two cents.

So, galaxy watch has the same problem, as you know.

I'm pairing it with my Mate 20 Pro, with all tunings of battery saving done and same problem.

However, in another forum, I saw people were using an app called Bluetooth Auto Connector and gave it a shot.

It seemed it has been working, it will need more test though.

Hi. With the last update it does not work either. I have tried all the options of battery and singue without reconnecting, it is certain that the gearS3 trembles as if it were connected but I have to manually do it from the telephone. Nokia 7plus. Android one, running on foot. It is the only thing that fails, with speakers and headphones works perfectly. A penalty on the part of Samsung.

Try the solution above. Since Saturday I haven't had any problem, it works just fine

I'm affraid that app is not available for Iphone (at least, I did not see it). Still strange that a seperate app is required to make it reconnect again.

Yeah, I agree that it's strange and it needs a fix. Using a third party app to reconnect doesn't feel right
