Due to changing Specs and how things change in the market not all accessories will be compatible with all phones.
I assume you bought the 1st Vr for another model of phone ?
I’m not sure why you’d expect Samsung to swap it for the newer model of the Vr.
To me its like me saying to Samsung I bought the official Samsung Case for my s7 edge but now I want that swapping because I bought the s8 and it won’t fit it.
