Galaxy watch auto low brightness

Hi. My galaxy watch keeps lowering the brightness from level 10 to level 3 in low light situations even when auto low brightness is turned off. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Yes mine to. It doesnt matter if auto brightness is turned on and off, it always puts the brightness to 3. It is like when you turn off auto brightness it just doesnt turn off.

 

I hope the next update will fix this, it is very bad that you cant control watch brightness!!

 

You are not only one, i found a lot people complaining about this problem on android forum, it is software problem.

Yes if they dont fix it soon it stop me from telling everyone how good this watch is

Dear Samsung, Regarding the watch auto low brightness issue, this needs to be resolved quickly. I am an Advanced IT Professional and did a little troubleshooting on my own to expedite the resolution as it is VERY irritating and needs a fix quick. It appears the issue is directly connected to the 'screen timeout' feature. When I place the 'screen timeout' to 5-minutes, the screen does NOT dim down to 3 - even though I have it set my display brightness to 10 - so the issue does not appear during the entire 5-minutes wait time for the 'time-out timer' to trigger. All is good until the 5-minute 'screen timeout timer' is reached (5-minutes), and then the screen dims (as would be expected) but the DISPLAY goes all the way down to 3 and stays there (just like everyone else). Perhaps some kind of coding bug or a sensor issue. Please issue a fix quick as I just purchased my new phone today (December 08, 2018) and I have seen people complaining about this issue quite a way back in time.  Thank you. By the way, turning on/off 'auto low brightness' resolves nothing - with the latest Galaxy Watch update installed today. [DECEMBER 08, 2018] In addition, it seems to me the 'auto low brightness' feature is 180 degrees backward. It seems logical (to me at least) the screen should 'go brighter' in low light, not in 'bright light' (vice versa) as it now appears to function.  FYI Community - I sent an email to Samsung Support today (December 09, 2018) about this issue.

Same problem after update. Is there any way to reroll version, because i cant stand watching watch in low brightness.

I have had my watch for only 2 days and noticed this problem the first night when outside walking my dog. I noticed it the next morning when my watch slipped under my jacket sleeve. When I pulled my watch back out to look at it, the brightness was at 3. As soon as the light sensor figured out there was now light in the room, the brightness went back to what I had it set at which was a brightness of 10. This issue is either a software glitch from an update or Samsung did this on purpose say for battery life. I just did my updates all up front so did any of you see this issue ONLY after the latest update and it was NOT a problem before that update??? This is a big issue to me and enough to possibly return an otherwise great smartwatch.

Bought my galaxy watch today replacing my LG Urbane smart watch and this auto dimming to 3 is quite annoying. Kinda wished i stayed with the LG now😡

I experienced it, really, the light is a little bit lower, but all the other features are great
