Galaxy S8 pre order UK vs US

Just a friendly question folks, last week I preordered the Galaxy S8. However, it seems the US customers are getting a lot more.

Get a free Gear VR with Controller plus Oculus content bonus and Platinum Experience with Samsung Rewards when you pre-order the Galaxy S8. For an additional $99, get the full Gear VR experience including premium headphones by AKG and 256GB memory card.*

Any ideas why we don't get the same offer? 

$720 for the S8 in the USA. Converted to UK sterling it's £581. 

£689 for the S8 in the UK. 

Why are we paying £100 more and not getting the extras?

Well of course they pass the tax on to us. So it's not why do we pay more and not get the bonus, just why do we pay the same and not get the bonus? We're also missing a colour option. The speaker is £50 on amazon at the moment too 😛
Not saying it justifies it just often people forget tax in that us/uk comparison

Just to let you know, the Gear VR (2016) is compatible with the S8. However, it is not compatible with the S8+.

but most of us will have the white gear vr that came free with S7 which is micro usb only and hence not compatible

Is that because the vrs are set aside for the yanks so they get a free vr and samsung don't run out.

Ok @kempouk 1st off no need to come on swearing at me I am here freely to help people... 2nd what shop are you talking about? and 3rd where do you get your information from? show me proof of what you are saying as the VR units have nothing to do with the viewing resolution that is down to the phone screen and even the software run from the phone not the unit the only thing does is in put some data from the buttons on board.

Go read the oculas website they will explains the difference.

We don't want the gen 2 it is not compatable with the s8 plus.

We are not interested in this junk we want to use our s8 on the vr you ***** and that junk isn't comparable.

AND as for the oculas site provide proof I use that site daily and NEVER seen any reference as it is the phone not the headset that provides the resaloution. BTW I am using my S8+ with the gen 2

Sorry for the information on my last reply. Just a quick note, the S8 and S8+ will not work with the earlier versions of the Gear VR. It will be compatible with the Gear VR 2017 (SM-R324)
