Galaxy 8+ Bluetooth problem

I have a pair of JVC wireless headphones (model HA-S30BT).

My Samsung Galaxy 8+ does not recognise these headphones even though: -

My S8+ phone sees 2 other BT devices so I know the BT is working,

and,

I have 2 old Sony Xperia phones and they are both seeing the JVC headphones, so I know the headphones are working.

Can anyone help?

there are different codecs for bluetooth : SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD and LDAC . perhaps your different devices use different codecs ? you could try to set all devices to sbc, that is the basic one, and see if that works.
