Can't charge Gear. battery needs to warm up. Fit2

Ok. So this device will not charge. It is warm. And dry.

 

What does it not charge on the original charge stand?

 

Phone was in the pool easier to a depth of no more than one metre. 

 

Watch is working ok apart from bit charging

 

@samsung do I need to sent this back and get a refund. What are the next steps to fix this?

thing is, however good the advice is, you missed out "send it back, the watch is broken"

 

this is really the only answer

Hi there!

If the watch is within replacement/refund period with the retailer (if there's one), you may do so.

According to manual,

-Whenever your device gets wet, dry it thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth.
-If there are obstructions between the device and the charger dock, the device may not charge properly.
-If the battery is completely discharged, the device cannot be turned on immediately after being connected to the charger.
Allow a depleted battery to charge for a few minutes before turning on the device.

You may try below steps too,
- Check if the charging terminals are dirty or if there's something in between the watch and charger.
-Restart your watch, place the watch onto the charging dock. Press and hold the power key for 10 seconds. If the lightning symbol shows, remove your finger from the power key.
-Check for any software updates for your smartwatch (if the watch is switched on). Menu > Settings > Gear info > Update Gear software
-You can reset the watch too, go to Menu > Settings > Gear info > Reset Gear, have the data backed up first before you proceed.

the device is knackered. Tried all suggestions. Managed to find an even bigger white warning triangle.

 

I will return it and buy a fit bit instead. Which is a shame cos I own all Samsung kit
